BIBLE CLASS: This morning at St. John, we will continue our study of Colossians.  We will study 1:9-14: “Paul requests blessings for the Colossians and for us.”

 

NEHLS BOARD MEETING: There will be a NELHS Board meeting this afternoon at 4:00.

 

MEETINGS: The elders of Zion will meet on Monday at 7:30.  The church council will meet at 8:00 that evening.

 

NURSING HOME SERVICES: We will have our service at Eventide in Crete on Tuesday at 9:00.  The service at the Wilber Care Center will be at 10:00 that morning.

 

CONFIRMATION CLASS: Confirmation class will meet on Wednesday at 6:30.

 

BIBLE CLASS:  We continue our study of the book of 1 Corinthians this Wednesday evening at 7:30.  This week, as we study 1 Corinthians 1:9-4:21, we see “A Crisis of Divisions.”

 

CHAPEL: Pastor Kahrs will be at NELHS on Friday morning to conduct their chapel service.

 

FALL LWMS RALLY: The Fall LWMS Rally will be held at Zion on Saturday.  Registration is at 9:00, with the rally beginning at 10.  Please have mite box offerings in to Rose Blome or Trisha Krueger today.

VOTERS’ MEETING:  The voters of St. John will meet after the service next Sunday.

 

SILENT AUCTION/FALL CONCERT: The Silent Auction at NELHS will be on Sunday, October 18, beginning at 1:00.  The Fall Concert will be at 4:00 that day.

     There will also be a meeting of the NELHS Association following the concert.

 

TRUNK OR TREAT: Zion will be participating in the community Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31.  If you would like to donate candy that can be handed out at the event, you are asked to bring it to the church by Sunday, October 25.
