BIBLE CLASS: We continue our study of the book of Daniel this morning at Zion by look at Daniel 7, where Daniel has a vision of four beasts, which foretold four kingdoms, which would rise and fall, one of which still has an impact today.

NURSING HOME SERVICES: We will have our service at Tabitha in Crete on Tuesday at 9:00.  The service at the Wilber Care Center will be at 10:00 that morning.

CONFIRMATION CLASS: Confirmation Class will meet on Wednesday at 6:30.

CHOIR: We will meet on Wednesday at 7:30.

CHAPEL: Pastor Kahrs will be at NELHS to conduct their chapel on Friday morning.

BIBLE CLASS:  We will continue our Bible Class at St. John next Sunday morning, beginning at 10:00.  As we continue our study of the book of Daniel, we will focus our attention on Daniel 11:2-20, one of the most detailed prophecies, which foretells the fighting that would take place when the Greek empire split into four factions and how that would impact Israel.

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES:  We will begin our Lenten journey on Wednesday, February 18, at Zion and Thursday, February 19, at St. John.  Both services will begin at 7:30.  Holy Communion will be offered during the services.

The theme of this year’s Lenten services is “It Is Finished.”  Jesus came to keep all of God’s commandments perfectly and to fulfill all the promises about the Savior contained in the Old Testament so that he could triumphantly say about his redemptive work for our salvation, “It is finished!”  During the Lenten season, we will focus on ten of Zechariah’s prophecies, particularly as they relate to the events of Jesus’ Holy Week passion, death, and resurrection, and what Jesus’ fulfillment of those prophecies means for God’s people — now and in eternity.

LASAGNA SUPPER: The Ladies Aid of Zion will provide a lasagna supper before the Ash Wednesday service.  The meal will begin at 6:00 that evening.

CONCERT: The winter concert at NELHS will be on Sunday, February 22, at 4:00.  There will be a meeting of the NELHS Association following the concert.
